At Jindaiji, we’ll get out of the car and stroll the quiet grounds and join a traditional *oharai* purification ritual. Inside the main hall, you’ll take part in and observe monks performing this ceremony, where sacred fire is still used—a rare tradition preserved over centuries. You purchase a protective *ofuda* charm. The purification ritual requires the purchase of “Ofuda”. The cost of the “Ofuda” is already included in the participation fee. Next, we’ll enjoy handmade soba noodles at a local restaurant with insights into the land, food, and history.
